How to: Change window borders and colors.
Solution:
Select 'Control Panel', select 'Display', and open the 'Appearance' dialog box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Display' icon. (The 'Display Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Appearance' tab.
5) Click the section to be changed. (The item description appears in the 'Item' box.)

NOTE: The following steps depend on the type of item selected. A color option is available only if the desktop item selected has color-changing options. A size option appears only if a sizable item is selected (such as icons). A font option appears only if the item contains fonts (such as title boxes or icons).
6) Do one or more of the following:
a) Select a font from the 'Font' drop-down list box.
b) Select a font size from the 'Size' drop-down list box.
c) Select a font color:
1] Click 'Color' to display a color palette.
2] Select the desired font color from this palette.

3] Click 'Apply'.
4] Display a custom palette:
a] Click 'Other...'. The 'Color' dialog appears, displaying a custom color palette.
b] Do one of the following:
1} Select the desired color from the color palette.
2} Drag the marker to the desired color and value.

5] Click 'OK'.
d) Adjust item size from the 'Size' scroll box to the left of the 'Item' drop-down list box.
7) Click 'Apply' to activate the new setting, and click 'OK'.
